Seafood at the harbour, cafés and bakeries along the High Street, and enough choice that you do not have to cook.
North Berwick eats well for a town of its size. The harbour is the place for seafood, and in season there is usually somewhere doing it more or less straight off the boat with a view of the Bass Rock. The High Street has the coffee shops, bakeries and delis, and a handful of bars and restaurants for the evening.
It is a mile down the hill from the park, so the sensible plan is to walk down and get a taxi back. Most places will take a booking, and in July and August you will want one.
Seafood with a view of the islands, and somewhere to sit outside as well as the Seabird centre for exploring and food!
Plentiful with coffee shops, bakeries, delicatessens, speciality food shops, plus bars and restaurants for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner.
There is a Co-op on the High Street and a Tesco and Aldi up the hill for a proper shop. As well as numerous takeaway shops.
Almost all of these are a walk down the hill from the park. Opening hours change with the season, so check before you head down.
Daytime: coffee, cake, gelato and lunch.
Evenings: seafood, Italian, steak, pub food and takeaway.
Stay on the hill above the town and walk down for something to eat.
One mile from North Berwick’s beaches, harbour and High Street.
