The castles of Tantallon, Dirleton and Hidden Hailes are all there for the exploring. For those seeking a relaxing retreat you will not beat the quiet walking available along the coast and the countryside through sleeping picturesque villages or rambling through the Lammermuir Hills. Golf enthusiasts will be spoiled for choice with the number of golf courses, from the new modern golf courses and clubhouses to the old, steeped in history - all with fantastic views. For the energetic and adventurous, East Lothian is great for all sorts of cycling, water sports, sailing, surfing, wind surfing and diving.
